Event Details:
Location: 960 Rise Lane, Madison, WI
Date & Time: Monday, March 9th 12:30-1:00pm Speakers: Attorney General Josh Kaul, RCC Executive Director Dana Pellebon, DaneMAC Co-President Kim Curran

Madison, WI - RCC is proud to announce a new partnership with DaneMAC that expands Forensic Nurse Exams (FNE) to RCC’s office, located at 960 Rise Lane. This expansion provides a community-based option for forensic exams in Dane County and increases access to compassionate, trauma‑informed medical care for survivors of sexual assault. FNEs at RCC are available Sunday through Thursday from 1:00-9:00pm for people ages 17+. Services are available by walk-in, calling the DaneMAC nurse team (608‑492‑2611) or through DaneMAC’s Hazel virtual resource center (www.hazelhelps.me).

This launch builds on RCC’s existing medical advocacy programs, which will continue uninterrupted at UnityPoint Health - Meriter and University Health Services, as well as DaneMAC’s partnerships with Planned Parenthood, Madison College, and Steve Brown - Lucky Apartments. These partnerships remain fully intact. Survivors seeking care will continue to receive high-quality FNEs conducted by trained professionals, with RCC advocates available to provide confidential emotional support and information throughout the process.

“We want to meet survivors where they’re at, removing any barriers to care, including traveling between sites,” said Kim Curran, DNP, SANE-A, co-founder of DaneMAC.

FNE exams, conducted by highly trained nurses, may include medical care for injuries, pregnancy prevention, STI testing, and forensic evidence collection — all based on the survivor’s choices. All Forensic Nurse Exams in Dane County are free, confidential, and do not require health insurance, proof of citizenship or law enforcement reporting. All languages are served.

Dana Pellebon, Executive Director of RCC says, “Forensic Nurse Exams are about care, dignity, and choice. Our continued work with Meriter and UHS remains essential while our partnership with DaneMAC allows expanded options for survivors.”
