Have you had an unwanted sexual encounter or maybe you are not really sure what happened due to alcohol or other drugs?
DaneMAC provides medical services in multiple locations and virtually.
There is NO cost to you.
We don’t call the police.
Your records are confidential (not part of your student health record or medical record at clinic).
An unwanted sexual encounter can have a variety of short- and long-term effects. A specialty trained nurse can discuss the options of care we provide. Such as: Testing for STI’s, drug testing, medication to prevent STI’s and pregnancy. A medical examination (make sure your body is healthy and ok). Connections to community resources. Evidence collection (sometimes called a “rape kit”). Reporting to the police (only if you want). Medical professionals have to report for individuals 17 and younger.

Launched in 2021, DaneMac’s mobile Forensic Nurse Exam (FNE) program was their first effort to improve access to post-assault health care. In partnership with clinics and health facilities throughout Dane County, we send highly-skilled forensic nurses to meet survivors for their post-assault exam at a time and location most convenient for the survivor.
Now survivors can get access to the specialized medical care they need without a trip to the ER.
